SEPTEMBER 2005 BULLETIN
Thanks to the overwhelming interest shown by many of you, ICCES05 will be a fruitful conference, with nearly 1,000 participants from about 80 countries.
In order to organize ICCES05 with world-class standards, and to minimize disruption to ICCES05 with last-minute NO-SHOWS, we request all the participants to adhere to the following procedures:
- Please indicate your definite intention to present your paper in person at the main conference in Chennai, by REGISTERING at: http://www.icces.org
- Please pay the appropriate Registration Fees as soon as possible, but definitely by 15 October 2005 , in order that we may schedule your lecture at ICCES05. The final schedule will be available by 1 November 2005 .
- Once we receive your payment, a RECEIPT will be posted in your ICCES05 Account, for you to download.
- PLEASE MAKE YOUR HOTEL RESERVATIONS IMMEDIATELY, as hotel rooms are in short supply both in Chennai, and in Jaipur. You can make a hotel reservation with TravelMark, by clicking on the button, “ Hotel Information” in the menu at the home-page of : http://www.icces.org
- The post-conference workshops in Jaipur will be more informal, with no published proceedings. If you wish to participate in one of the following Workshops in Jaipur:
- High Performance Computing;
- Interplay of Research and Teaching in a University of the 21st Century;
- Nano/Bio/Info Sciences for Economics Growth; or
- Globalization of Engineering Education,
please send a title of your proposed informal presentation to:
icces05@icces.org with JAIPUR WORKSHOP in the subject-line of your e-mail.
- ICCES05, through TRAVELMARK, has obtained 50% discounts on air-tickets for travel from Chennai to Jaipur, starting 7 December 2005 . These tickets must be purchased from TravelMark, by clicking on “Hotel Information” in the menu at the home page of ( http://www.icces.org ), and following the procedures outlined by TravelMark.
PLEASE REMEMBER THAT INDIA REQUIRES ENTRY-VISAS FOR TRAVELLERS FROM MOST COUNTRIES. BE SURE TO OBTAIN A VISA, BY CONTACTING THE EMBASSY/CONSULATE OF INDIA IN YOUR COUNTRY. FOR THIS PURPOSE, THE LETTER OF INVITATION SENT TO YOU FROM IIT-MADRAS MUST BE ENCLOSED.
